Newborn photos can be done from the comfort of your own home! It’s almost Spring and we are starting to see a rise in maternity and newborn photo session requests! Today, I’m excited to share an adorable lifestyle newborn session from last week.

Ashley and Sean welcomed this cute little guy 4 weeks ago. We waited a few weeks to do his newborn photoshoot due to COVID. Older babies are a dream to photograph; they sleep easier and I just love all the stretches!

We were able to get a couple of open eyed shots of Jackson as well as sleepy baby photos. We planned a simple, lifestyle newborn photo session and included a few prop shots for a nice variety in their completed gallery.

When we plan your lifestyle newborn session, it doesn’t matter how large or small your home is. All we need are some great windows for natural light. We typically use the family room, dining room, parent’s room and baby’s room.

EXPECTING A 2021 BABY?

If you’re expecting in 2021, let’s talk about your custom maternity and newborn portraits! Your maternity session should be scheduled between 28-36 weeks so that you’re comfortable and feeling radiant during our maternity session.  Your newborn session should be scheduled during your 2nd trimester and is best planned for baby’s first 10 days of life (but can be delayed to up to 2 months old). I’m looking forward to getting you on the calendar and planning your customized portrait session this year!

Custom and hand-made photo shoot dresses are provided by Blue Sugar Photography’s exclusive client closet. Gowns are curated from specialty designers, Sew Trendy Accessories and Mii-Estilo and are available for use during your maternity, newborn and family photos.
