I met Laura a couple years ago for family photos and then Magical Santa photos but when she contacted me to schedule her maternity session, I was ecstatic! We planned out our session early on in her pregnancy and could not wait to get into some gowns from my maternity dress client closet.

A few days before our maternity photo session, Laura sent me a message that she had fallen and broke her ankle.  She was in a boot and in a lot of pain and she was already just about 36 weeks along!

We postponed her session to take place two weeks later since I was already booked solid the next week. I prayed that little baby girl would bake a bit longer so we could be sure to fit in the maternity photo shoot that mama really wanted and hoped that Laura’s pain level would go down enough to be semi-comfortable during her maternity pictures.

With the help of dad-to-be, a walker and our pop-up tents, we had a successful maternity portrait session with minimal moving around on mom’s part. Our session took place at our property which is exclusive to my clients. With the wildflower trails and sunset as our backdrop, it was perfect!

I could not have been happier with being able to provide mama with the maternity photos that she really wanted from the beginning! She didn’t do a maternity photo session with her first and she definitely didn’t want to miss out on this milestone.
